What is the MTD BE Network?
The MTD Bass Enthusiasts Network is a place for people who play, own, collect, or sell MTD (Michael Tobias Design) bass guitars. It's a place where those people can share their common passion for these wonderful instruments, start discussions, post photos, and network with one another. Think MySpace or facebook, but targeted specifically for the MTD crowd.
How much does it cost to Join?
Currently, it is 100% free to join.
How do I qualify to Join?
You simply need to own, play, or sell MTD basses. You also need to be a carbon-based life form consisting mostly of water (hopefully you've got that last part covered already!).
What content is/isn't appropriate for the Network?
We ask only that your content be about you and ab out MTD Basses. Pornography, abuse, and hate content will get you booted permanently off of this network. But c'mon, we're bass players here, we're supposed to be able to hold it together anyway! You will also need to adhere to the Terms of Service. Issues and/or abuse can be reported at this link.
I want to customize My Page. How can I do that?
Changing your page appearance is easy, and the more tech-savvy can include CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) code as well. Help on customizing your page can be found here.
Is there a limit to the photos/music/files I can upload?
Presently, there is no limit. However, please be considerate as increasing the network's bandwidth limits will result in a monthly hosting charge. To keep the network free, you'll need to keep your content within reasonable limits. If you have any questions about what you should or shouldn't post, contact the network administrator (Joe).
Can I invite other MTD owners to join?
Yes! Click on the Invite tab at the top of the page (or click here), insert the e-mail addresses of the MTDers you would like to invite, and click the Send Invitations button. Please invite anyone you think would be interested.
What's with the ads?
In order to keep membership free, we have to run Google ads on each page. Unfortunately, we have no control over the content of these ads, but if you find anything offensive please report it.
Is the MTD BE affiliated with Tobias/Gibson, Michael Tobias, or the MTD company?
No. This network is not in any way affiliated with Tobias or MTD - we're just big, big fans of these amazing instruments. The network was launched with full disclosure to (and the blessing of) Michael Tobias, but no official endorsements or affiliations exist (nor are they meant to be implied).
Can I sell bass-related items on the network?
Yes. Please post any for sale items in the Classifieds section of the Forum.
I have a suggestion for the network. Where can I submit it?
Please post your suggestions to this forum post. If you want to keep your suggestion private, please send it in a personal message to the Administrator (Joe).
