HEY DON

I'd guess, with that wood combo, that you would have a very jazzy-sounding bass with some funk mixed in. The wenge would likely scoop the mids a little, so if you're looking for more warmth when finger-plucking you can try boosting the low mids (middle knob with the switch in bottom position).
WHen you slap, though, that bass should cut thru the mix like a hot knife through butter!
None yet! Well yet has just came, bringing with it a nice 535 bass guitar. Weeks after I answered None yet, the wife surprised me by saying Hey,
it´s your money! Boy was I ever burning to own an American hand made
MTD. Thanks Lord , and wifey.
About Me:
I bought my first bass at age 16 (off brand) ,a kramer( heavy )
at 22. Selling them months after ownership. After 51 yrs I now
own a Yamaha RBX1000 and I got my Cort A4 by trading my
Yamaha TRB1005 which is in my (old) photo.I have been in three
bands as a percussionist yet none as a bass player.
Why I Joined MTD Bass Enthusiasts:
I have heard the tone of MTD basses Live,on CD,DVD etc.
The tone from these basses has gotten close to my soul.
I also liked what Michael said on BassplayerTV about his
views of what and why he work with bass guitars his way.
I have never even touched a MTD bass before but my intui-
tion has always been strong. It was Jimmy Haslip who first
pierce my ear with his MTD and talent!
