About Me:

Currently, I'm the bassist in Try.Fail.Repeat - a modern, progressive rock band (think Foo Fighters, Tool, Breaking Benjamin, APC...somewhere in there).

I'm also a solo artist working on my next solo CD. Check out www.myspace.com/michaelwu01 if you like. My solo stuff is more akin to REM, David Gray, Sting (though, obviously it's no where near the skill / quality of any of those aforementioned artists).

I've been playing bass for 22 years - to me, that's a funny thing to say 'cause it seems like yesterday that I first heard Steve Harris pounding out the bass line to an Iron Maiden tune that got me hooked to the low end. My biggest influences are Steve Harris, Geddy Lee, John Paul Jones, John Myung, and Sting. There are many more, but, alas, read my MySpace bio if you're interested...
