Are those Nordy duals?
I think each is "voiced" for their position... so if you slap the neck one at the bridge, it could sound a little weird.
Have you verified he put them in the right positions? Does the tone seem to flange when you pan the ble…
There were a few brain-fart moments where I had to take my eyes off the page and ponder the fretboard ... I'm headed to Tennessee for a few days ... when I come back I've got some rehearsals. I'm going to bring it into one of the Rent rehearsals and…
So far so good guys... Got the replacement pickup and finally got to putting it in - so it's now working properly and reliably... I'm looking forward to taking this bass back out... and guess what? In Rent, our band leader has decided to actually tr…
Fair enough. I've played MTDs that were made for clients - and the Z series is probably the best bargain out there - don't get me wrong, you get nice woods, a great neck, but the pieces don't work together (as you said) with the electronics quite li…
With a day job to pay the bills, I am involved in a number of live and studio projects.
I also play at a local Toronto studio-club designed for people who want to enjoy playing music with like-minded people from a catalog of hundreds of songs. I'm always available for a chat and learning about experiences in playing, music-reading and production.
Why I Joined MTD Bass Enthusiasts:
Because I've just discovered how good my MTD Z6 is... and how much better it'll be once I've put the Nord Fat Stacks and Bart pre in there. So I figured it would be a good idea to join this group!

Those are nordy dual coil parallels. I took it back to my tech to see if he might have put pups in wrong position or wired me up wrong. Thank for the feed back. How are you enjoying your MTD/NORDY mod.
Sorry to hear your mods not going as smooth as expected. Please keep 'THE SQUAD' informed about the progress. I just put my fretless under the knife. Wish me luck!! She should be ready in a couple of weeks.
Hey Frank
By you playing 6-fretless, do you think the high-c plays a bigger part than the low-b. I am thinking about a (e-a-d-g-c) comb on my Z5. I have my nords and bart pre already, Waiting on my mod man to get some time. If you get the time, check out our groups "THE MOD SQUAD & THE 6-PACK". Tell us what you think.
